Maphead Productions Present: Malevich
- electropoetica

Malevich - creators of electropoetica: symphonies of experimental improvisation and spoken word.
Laying
the foundation: Tony Rimbaud's abstracted, looped and (mis)treated samples,
recordings and live instrumentation, alongside brooding, pulses, drones and
washes, creating subtly shifting atmospheres.
Interwoven are Nick Rilke's distorted, effects laden turntableism: a carefully chaotic melange of disembodied record sampling, and home-made 'vinyl' playing ish-beats and noise sheets.
Then, sometimes muffled in the background, sometimes scorched in the foreground
is his voice, cutting in with spoken word that explores the motives and mores
of turn of the century life.
Malevich can be seen at the monthly live electronica event The Spirit of Gravity.
